A leading organization in the arts sector is seeking an Assistant for Access Support. This role involves providing exceptional customer service to individuals needing assistance, particularly those who are D/deaf or disabled. Contract: Working 35 hours per week, Fixed term for 12 months. Arts Council recognises the benefit of flexible working and welcomes applications from individuals requiring flexibility.
Salary: £27,401 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.
Location: Manchester. The role will be based at Manchester; however, we support a hybrid working model, with regular on-site contact days (normally 1-2 days a week).
The Pre-Application Access Support Team at Arts Council England supports customers who require additional assistance to access our programmes and services by removing barriers to access.
Line-managed by the Senior Officer, Access Support, and supported by the Officer, Pre-Access Support, you will be responsible for supporting the scheme by providing excellent customer service, contributing to team goals, and helping to champion anti-ableism both internally and externally. You will work with the team to support applicants who are D/deaf or disabled, neurodivergent, have learning difficulties, mental health conditions, or long-term health conditions.
Your responsibilities include responding to inquiries via phone, live chat, video calls, and email, and developing processes to deliver effective Pre-Application Access Support.
