Job Description:

Alternatives Capital Formation (ACF) is a global team with 100 professionals across 10 offices, including New York, London, Hong Kong, and Bengaluru. The team isresponsible for Goldman Sachs (GS) Alternativesfundraising acrossprivate equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, sustainability, secondaries, hedge funds, andliquid alternatives strategies.

The Associate will join GS real estate ACF product specialist team in London. This team is responsible for the creation and maintenance of all marketing materials and investor communication for GS’s real estate funds. The Associate will focus on GS real estate’s global funds, and Europe funds in particular, and will spearhead multiple projects at one time employing a range of skillsets.

The Associate will spend a significant amount of time with members of the firm’s real estate group across the US, Europe and Asia, including the acquisitions, asset management, legal, finance, tax and compliance teams, and collaborate across strategies to identify portfolio-wide solutions. They also partner with asset managementinvesting, institutional client coverage, andwealth management teams.

The main areas of responsibility include:

  • Marketing Materials & Investor Communications : Coordinate closely with investment team and other internal stakeholders such as legal, risk management, operations, compliance, controllers and tax in order to create and maintain presentation materials, investor reporting, and other investor communications
  • Investor Due Diligence: Respond to investor queries,ongoing investor requests,and complete due diligence questionnaires
  • New Product Launches : Contribute to business development initiatives and assist with strategic planning for new fund launches (including co-investments), production of presentation materials, private placement memoranda, and handling investor due diligence
  • Support Fundraising Team and Senior Leadership : Assist with the production of talking points, ad hoc presentations, and strategic projects
  • Product Knowledge : Become an expert on GS Real Estate’s funds and investments
  • Team Player : Contribute to collegial team work environment

Qualifications

In addition to strong analytical and time management skills, the successful candidate must have:

  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Prior work experience in investor relations and/or real estate private equity is preferred
  • Highly motivated (a self-starter), intelligent and demonstrated excellence in prior endeavours
  • Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments
  • Ability to produce creative, compelling, detailed materials and information for existing and prospective investors; strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to write effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Leadership and strong project management capabilities
  • Candidate should be able to quickly pivot between a variety of projects and be a team-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment
  • Strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to learn
  • Operate with the highest degree of professional integrity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity
