Hybrid Capital offers flexible solutions for businesses seeking non-control private equity alternatives or more flexible debt options. The firm primarily deploys the West Street Strategic Solutions Fund I, a $14bn fund raised in 2020.

Analysts and Associates work in small deal teams on high-profile transactions across the capital structure, including secured debt and minority equity. The role involves analytical work such as financial modelling, valuation, financial analysis, and legal documentation. It is deal-focused and dynamic, providing exposure to various industries, geographies, investment structures, and stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct due diligence and business analysis, including financial modelling, valuation, market research, and competition analysis to develop investment theses.
  • Participate in structuring, negotiating, and documenting investments.
  • Present and defend investment theses to internal stakeholders and committees, including Asset Management and Firm-wide Investment Committees.
  • Monitor existing portfolio investments actively.
  • Generate investment ideas through early engagement with financial sponsors, management teams, and founders.
  • Build relationships with sponsors, management teams, and internal stakeholders.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 1-2 years of experience in Investment Banking or Principal Investing.
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Studies, Industrial Engineering, or related fields from a distinguished institution.
  • Experience in private equity or private credit is a plus.
  • Strong quantitative, financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for investing, especially in complex credit and equity investments.
  • Creative and flexible mindset with the ability to analyze various industries and businesses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High motivation and solid work ethic.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in French, German, Italian, or Spanish is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently, analyze, and evaluate situations critically.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
