About The Role
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
Responsible for the remarketing and sale of all SFS and CTS assets at the end of the contract/vehicles’ life. Establishing the best sales solutions for every vehicle, to maximise end of vehicle life profits. Alongside selling of vehicles, this role will be lead on arranging extensions with customers and setting new residual values for all of the SFS portfolio of vehicles and quotations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage remarketing, logistics of collecting from customers, and sale of used vehicles, establishing the most optimum sales approach for each vehicle.
- Develop and grow national remarketing avenues, including retail sales through a dedicated site, maximising profitability.
- Implement and maintain a centralised database of customers purchasing commercial and specialist vehicles.
- Conduct end-of-life condition checks, including mileage calculations, pricing, and customer approval of repairs or damage charges.
- Maximise sale profits, including opportunities with CTS (short-term rental) stock vehicles.
- Negotiate sales pricing on all remarketed vehicles.
- Monitor sales proceeds against market and business indicators.
- Manage all elements of the sales process for used vehicle sales customers.
- Provide monthly reports on sales, market valuations, and extension activities.
- Collaborate with fleet operations team.
- Set residual value pricing for new business quotations.
- Track residual values throughout the contract lifecycle and for the entire vehicle portfolio.
- Manage contract extensions, liaising with customers and internal teams, and formally setting extension residual values.
- Support credit decisioning with in-life fleet valuations.
- Perform any other duties as requested.
About You
Essential Skills
- Proactive, self-motivated individual with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proven track record of HGV sales for 5+ years.
- Thorough understanding of commercial (heavy) and municipal vehicles.
- Experience in setting residual values using various publications.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Resourceful problem-solving abilities.
- High level of computer skills.
- Experience in developing a retail used vehicle sales business line.
- Full UK driving licence.
Working Hours
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5:30pm, with 1 hour for lunch.
Desirable Skills
- HGV Class 2
- HGV Apprentice served qualification
