Our local authority client based in West London are urgently seeking an experienced Asset Systems And Data Manager.
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, integrity and security of the systems and data related to the Social Investment and Property s strategic asset management activities for the Council s Property Portfolio, ensuring good practice and robustness in data management practices and systems.
Responsible for the collection of all relevant data, working with other service areas and act as point of contact for asset system users across all service areas, developing and providing training solutions and query resolution as required.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Responsible for the accurate and up to date asset systems and data management for the operational portfolio, to ensure accurate reflection and enable regular reviews and assessments of the Council s assets.
- Deliver the development and implementation of the organisation's overall asset management strategy, through aligning data management practices with strategic asset management goals to support optimal asset utilisation and value creation.
- Analyse and advise on complex asset data to identify optimisation opportunities, cost reduction strategies, and improved asset utilisation potential, driving operational efficiency, cost savings, and maximising the value of asset investments to develop and monitor revenue and capital budgets.
- Lead on the development, implementation, support and review of new and existing I.T systems and solutions within the asset management team to ensure the systems are fit for purpose and developed to meet changing business needs, legislative requirements and regulatory reporting.
- Act as point of contact and escalation for asset system users in all service areas, providing and developing training plans and process maps and query resolution as required, empowering users with data literacy skills and maximising data utilisation and value across the organisation.
Skills; Experience and AttitudeEssential:- Experience of working with data for the purposes of asset management and property issues
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to use IT systems to analyse and present large and complex data sets to provide insights and support decision making
- Ability to produce property database reports and property data process maps
- Effectively able to develop solutions with minimal or no supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within asset data.
- Ability to generate clear, concise, and insightful reports and dashboards for various audiences.
- Ability to build relationships with colleagues, partners and contractors, to develop mechanisms and systems to promote joint working
- Ability to undertake work concerning more involved tasks confined to one function or area of activity, which requires a good standard of practical knowledge and skills in that area of activity.
- Ability to undertake data management, data analysis, with data governance, data quality, and data security practices
- Passionate about using data to drive informed decision-making and improve organisational performance.
- Proficient in database management systems, data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel), and data visualisation tools. Understanding of data integration and data warehousing concepts.
