Asset Servicing Lead Analyst - Client Service, VP

The Market Operations Asset Servicing Group provides support to both the front and middle offices and collaborates with various operational functions within the wider Market Ops group.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Asset Servicing department in London, offering leadership and expertise in Asset Servicing events.

Team/Function Overview:

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Client Service, this role involves overseeing all European (EMEA) Asset Servicing Prime client queries for Citi's Global Markets Equity and Fixed Income businesses. It includes managing escalations from OCRM clients and maintaining relationships with select clients. The team liaises directly with Clients/Client Executives and acts as a link between the AS processing teams, the Prime Business, Middle Office, and Operations teams, providing timely and accurate information to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily Asset Servicing queries for EMEA Global Prime clients.
  • Participate as a key stakeholder in all Global Client Service initiatives.
  • Serve as an escalation point for OCRM clients.
  • Manage relationships with exclusive clients.
  • Manage daily risk by escalating issues to senior management, business, and control teams.
  • Identify process breakdowns and control gaps, propose solutions, and work with the EMEA Asset Servicing management team to implement improvements.
  • Enhance client experience through process improvements.
  • Lead strategic development for client and firm portals.
  • Identify and resolve potential client impacts related to strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as SME on all Asset Servicing Events.
  • Drive process improvements and change initiatives within a strong control framework.
  • Collaborate with Product, Client Executives, Compliance, Risk, and Technology teams.
  • Attend client meetings as needed.
  • Stay informed on market and regulatory changes.
  • Monitor trends via Error reports, KPIs, and metrics; implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of the global client experience framework.
  • Support sensitive event approvals within the Buffalo Asset Servicing Organization.
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Industry experience preferred in Asset Servicing, Operations, Client Service, or Corporate Actions.
  • Understanding of supported businesses.
  • Proven accuracy, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience managing tactical and strategic initiatives.
  • Extensive Operations experience across markets.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Experience with PB, Swap, Firm, and Stock Lending is advantageous.
