Job description

Role Overview:

To set up and send out corporate action information to clients accurately and in a timely manner, and to manage the election process for a corporate action through to deadline, balancing long and short positions, and sending instructions to our local agent bank.

Responsibilities:

  1. Understanding the different types of corporate action events and their nuances.
  2. Managing client and firm risks during the lifecycle of the corporate action event.
  3. Developing strong relationships with stakeholders.
  4. Building relationships with all agent banks, registrars, and exchanges.
  5. Collecting required legal or jurisdictional documentation.
  6. Providing input into new service level agreements.
  7. Liaising with legal teams regarding restrictions.
  8. Communicating with external agents and internal business units.

Required Skills & Experience:

  1. Experience in Financial Services, particularly Asset Services, Corporate Actions, or Shared Utility Operations (e.g., Settlements, Reconciliations).
  2. Good analytical skills.
  3. Strong team player with effective communication skills.
  4. Commercial understanding of markets and client needs.
  5. Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining control and order in challenging situations.
  6. Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  7. Attention to detail, risk awareness, and appropriate escalation.
  8. Good time management, especially in high-volume, high-risk environments with strict deadlines.
