Job description

This is a temporary full time opportunity for 12 months (Fixed Term Contract) for candidates living in the Midlands region of England.The role involves travel, overnight stays, driving, heavy lifting and manual handling.

As an Asset Relocation Operative at Brandon Hire Station, you'll be a crucial part of our team, ensuring the safe and efficient relocation of company assets across the UK.Working alongside the Business Support Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting our transformation goals over the next 12 months, contributing to the growth and operational success of our business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely deliver and collect tools and equipment to and from designated locations
  • Operate vehicles to transport assets and forklift driving to move, load, and shift equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure assets are in good working order
  • Load and unload deliveries, ensuring that assets are left in an organised and tidy manner
  • Manage inventory and assist with asset tracking and reporting
  • Remove signage and dismantle storage racking where required
  • Ensure the safe onward storage or delivery of dismantled items
  • Follow health and safety procedures to ensure safe transport and handling of equipment
  • Complete vehicle safety checks and report any issues promptly to management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including maintaining accurate records


What We're Looking For

  • Full UK driving licence (Category B as a minimum, Category BE desirable)
  • Experience in a multi-drop driving role
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible working hours with a willingness to travel long distances and stay overnight when required
  • A strong work ethic with the determination to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of safety compliance and maintaining a safe working environment
  • A forklift licence is desirable
  • Basic computer skills are desirable
  • Experience using hand tools or good knowledge of equipment handling
