A leading renewables energy company is seeking an Asset Monitoring Supervisor to oversee operational performance at their Manchester office or remotely. The role includes compliance monitoring, data analysis, and guiding engineers in troubleshooting. Candidates should have a solid technical background and experience in the power generation sector, along with excellent problem-solving abilities.
We are looking for an Asset Monitoring Supervisor to be based at nchester Head Office or Remote.
Our client is a Renewables Energy Company who specialise in preventative maintenance of Large Generators
Main responsibilities:
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure monitoring activities align with health & safety and environmental, social and governance requirements; maintain accurate logs, reports, and operational records.
Adherence to Contracts: Ensure that site operations remain in compliance with all relevant site contracts.
Real-Time Monitoring: Continuously monitor operational performance of power generation assets via remote telemetry systems, identifying abnormalities, performance trends, and early failure indicators.
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyse operational data to diagnose equipment issues, verify stable plant conditions, and provide actionable insights to the operations and maintenance teams.
Problem Solving and Fault Diagnosis: Apply structured problem-solving techniques to assess, diagnose, and recommend solutions for technical faults and performance deviations.
Remote Support: Guide field engineers through troubleshooting and corrective action processes based on real-time system
improvement initiatives.
Preventive Maintenance Planning: Use asset health insights from monitoring activities to support preventive maintenance scheduling and long-term asset management strategies.
Training and Knowledge Sharing: Share insights and best practices with colleagues and field teams to enhance technical capabilities and foster a proactive maintenance culture.
Emergency Response Support: Respond to critical alerts outside of normal hours to assist with urgent operational events and minimize downtime.
Knowledge/ Experience
Proven experience in operational monitoring and/or supervision within power generation, landfill gas, or industrial energy sectors.
Strong technical foundation in mechanical or electrical systems, with the ability to interpret operational data and performance metrics
Hands-on experience with remote monitoring platforms, or similar digital tools.
Computer literate with proficiency in operational data systems, MS Office Suite, and reporting tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make safe, informed decisions independently.
Hold full UK driving licence (manual transmission).
