This role is in a completely new team being introduced within planned asset investment. They are passionate about the delivery of an approved rolling 5-year and 30-year capital programme for housing investment and seek an Asset Investment Manager who understands Disrepair/DMC and other complex issues.

The Role

Working as part of the Management Team, you will provide leadership and direction to your team of 4 direct reports. In this exciting new role, you will take the lead in delivering our wide-ranging case load through a dedicated team. This will include Disrepair, DMC, Fire Damage, Insurance claims, and structural cases. This role will have responsibility for delivery within a defined operating area.

You will have experienced a range of contract delivery models and ensure customer involvement, and their safety is your priority. When necessary, act as an Expert Witness.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading an asset investment team to deliver the annual asset investment programme, with customers put first throughout all activities.
  • Ensuring the effective and consistent management of contracts for asset investment and supporting the delivery of compliance contracts, including all other asset and estate management contracted services.
  • Leading and supporting a team in achieving excellent customer service and operational performance through effective asset investment.
  • Ensuring consistent contract management, performance management, and budgetary control across projects.
The Person

The successful candidate will have significant recent relevant experience at a managerial level and professional qualifications in a relevant area. They will have a track record of successfully delivering significant and varied work programmes in a public sector or commercial environment.

Ideally, they will be RICS/CIOB qualified and educated to degree level in building/construction.
