About the Role

The Asset Manager plays a critical role within the Engineering Directorate, focusing on the collection and audits of high-quality data and ensuring their alignment with project standards and the BIM Execution Plan and associated documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the delivery and management of projects from technical design to construction stage to ensure compliance and delivered to project standards
2. Responsible for implementing best practice and consistent processes across the project, this includes liaising with project stakeholders and the supply chain to ensure the correct standards are applied
3. Responsible for quality processes and quality standards of all deliverables, including exchange information and conversion processes
4. Utilise Bentley ALIM, iTwin, ProjectWise with OpenBuilding Designer, and or MicroStation
5. Liaise with discipline leads to ensure optimized collection of data requirements, and assurance of labelling on site
6. Lead the production of high-quality data collection for specific elements of railway station projects, ensuring integration with overall project information models
7. Produce client information requirements at various RIBA stages as outline with the Client Asset Information Management System
8. Ensure all information are submitted, meet the project requirements set out, and ensure systems are in place for clash avoidance, internal model audits before submission
9. Support and liaise with the wider project joint venture team in the implementation of deliverables adhering to specified project standards and to facilitate issue resolution
10. Participate in quality assurance checks to ensure they meet the project's accuracy, detail, and the employers information requirements
11. Assist in monitoring compliance with the BEP and the supporting project standards, contributing to regular reports on the deliverable status
12. Work closely with other disciplines to ensure the data requirements are integrated and coordinated efficiently, attending regular coordination meetings as necessary
13. Provide technical support and guidance to project team members on BIM/IM-related issues

What do we need from you

Skills and Experience:

1. Asset Manager with at least a minimum of 3 years’ experience in major infrastructure/transportation projects.
2. Asset Lifecycle Information Management (ALIM) collects, manages, and distributes documentation / information to and from client.
3. Experience of working in an engineering production environment, with a railway/stations/, transportation or construction background.
4. Experience of delivering projects to UK BIM Standards including BS1192 and ISO 19650.
5. Proficient in using Bentley software including ProjectWise, ALIM, OpenBuilding Designer and Microstation.
6. Demonstrated experience in leading the technical development from conceptual design through to detailed construction models.
7. Experience in working within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the cohesive development of integrated project deliverables.
8. Good knowledge of UK design standards, such as Network Rail, HS2 and TfL.
9. Ability to adapt to new technologies and workflows, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and improvements.
10. Skill in developing asset management frameworks and strategies that drive performance and efficiency.
11. Analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
12. Strong project management skills, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
13. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
