Job summary

National Gas Transmission PLC is seeking an Asset Manager to shape investment in Britain's gas transmission network. You will develop evidence-based strategies balancing risk, cost, and long-term resilience to secure funding for critical infrastructure and support a lower-carbon energy future.

You will collaborate with engineering, finance, regulation, and specialist teams to translate objectives into long-term plans and robust business cases.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of asset management principles and experience supporting asset-based investment decisions.
• Ability to undertake asset risk assessments and evaluate intervention options.
• Experience using whole-life cost analysis and value-based decision making techniques.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical and financial data.
• Effective stakeholder management skills and experience coordinating contributions from multiple specialists.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly to a wide range of audiences.

• Experience within regulated infrastructure, utilities, energy, engineering, or asset-intensive industries
• Knowledge of regulatory business planning and funding submissions
• Understanding of strategic asset planning within critical infrastructure environments
