Job description

Our client is a local authority based in Essex, and they are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join them for a 12 month contract role.

You will manage a small team of Asset Information Analysts and primarily focus on structuring, interpreting and analysing data on Harlow’s council housing assets and their building components, in order to assess the need for investment across the stock.

Our client needs someone with experience of managing asset data and component information, for investment programmes to support large scale component replacement work in occupied council homes. They are mid-way through their stock condition survey and looking for someone to use this data and data they already have, to model various scenarios and to work with the team to build a programme of work for next year and subsequent years.

Applicants for this post must have significant experience in asset management within a ideally within a Local Authority setting. You will hold a degree in a relevant discipline such as property, building or surveying. The successful candidate will be an experienced manager with strong organisational and planning skills together with strong problem solving skills and strong IT knowledge. You must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to tailor the approach to the audience.

The role will initially be offered as a 12 month contract and the rate offered is £550/day (this role is inside IR35).

Please note that this post requires the successful individual to be based on site 4 days per week.
