Job summary

Astute People is recruiting an Asset Manager in Edenbridge to oversee a portfolio of renewable energy assets. You will monitor performance, ensure contractual guarantees are met, and liaise with customers, asset owners and engineers to maximise uptime across a growing UK renewables portfolio.

The role emphasizes data-driven reporting, use of asset management systems, and contributing to the expansion of the Asset Management function within a dynamic team. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in Asset Management or similar in renewables.
• Experience with utility-scale assets, ideally solar PV or battery storage.
• Strong knowledge of asset performance metrics and reporting.
• Experience engaging with customers/asset owners and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate engineers and service providers in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using asset management or CMMS platforms.
• Good commercial awareness of service delivery and contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational performance of a portfolio of renewable assets and ensure contractual performance.
• Monitor availability, performance ratios, KPIs and coordinate corrective actions.
• Act as point of contact for customers and asset owners with site performance updates.
• Coordinate fault response and ensure SLA adherence across the portfolio.
• Work with engineers and subcontractors to maximise asset uptime.
• Raise and manage purchase orders, quotes and spare parts.
• Analyse data to identify improvement opportunities and report findings.
• Contribute to development of Asset Management systems and processes.
• Support growth of the Asset Management function as the portfolio expands.
• Participate in future on-call or weekend support as needed.

Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a rapidly growing renewable energy asset owner and O&M provider to recruit an Asset Manager for its expanding operations team in Edenbridge. The Asset Manager role comes with a salary of £40,000 - £55,000, genuine career progression opportunities, and the chance to play a key role in shaping the future of a growing asset management function within the UK renewables sector.

Responsibilities and duties of the Asset Manager role

• Manage the operational performance of a portfolio of renewable energy assets, ensuring contractual performance guarantees and client expectations are met.
• Monitor asset availability, performance ratios and operational KPIs, identifying underperformance and coordinating corrective actions.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers and asset owners, providing updates on site performance, faults, outages and remedial activities.
• Coordinate fault response activities and ensure service level agreements are achieved across the portfolio.
• Work closely with engineers, coordinators and subcontractors to maximise asset uptime and operational performance.
• Raise and manage purchase orders, quotations, spare part requirements and other asset-related commercial activities.
• Analyse operational data and performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Produce performance reports and updates for internal stakeholders, clients and investors.
• Utilise and contribute to the development of the company's bespoke asset management and O&M systems.
• Support the continued growth and development of the Asset Management function as the portfolio expands.
• Participate in future on-call or weekend support arrangements as operational requirements develop.

Professional qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in Asset Management, Technical Asset Management, O&M Operations, Operations Support or a similar role within the renewable energy sector.
• Experience managing utility-scale renewable energy assets, ideally within solar PV or battery storage environments.
• Strong understanding of asset performance metrics, availability guarantees and operational reporting.
• Experience dealing directly with customers, asset owners and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate engineers and service providers in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Experience using asset management, monitoring or CMMS platforms.
• Good commercial awareness with an understanding of service delivery and contractual obligations.
• A relevant technical or engineering background would be advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
