We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our Infrastructure Asset & Information Management practice in Scotland. We seek passionate individuals at a junior level for the role of Asset Investment Planner, with experience in managing infrastructure assets. These roles will focus initially on Defence and Water and Wastewater clients and require onsite presence in Scotland.

Role Overview

As an Asset Investment Planner, you will manage a diverse portfolio of assets, including maintenance, refurbishment, and renewal. Your responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing gaps in asset performance against policies and strategies.
  • Defining interventions for reservoir estates above and below ground.
  • Prioritizing investments using a risk-based approach and developing costed programs to meet specific outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Managing Asset Investment Plans responsive to business needs.
  • Developing costed work programs with stakeholders and creating project briefs.
  • Assessing gaps between policies and asset performance, raising investment needs.
  • Collaborating with Operations and other teams on operational interventions and maintenance.
  • Balancing risks and priorities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Sponsoring projects with senior support, ensuring quality and operational fit.
  • Reviewing lessons learned to improve planning processes.
  • Attending site and virtual meetings with staff and clients.
Expected Requirements
  • Experience in asset investment planning or civil engineering schemes.
  • Knowledge of the Institute of Asset Management Anatomy, ISO55000, and IAM certification progress.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in stakeholder presentations.
  • Willingness to travel within Scotland, typically 2-3 days per week.
  • Proficiency in IT, including GIS systems.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Desirable: Experience with asset investment planning tools like Copperleaf.
