Job description

London

A market-leading advisor to investors in the alternative real estate space is looking to add a senior/associate to their advisory division. The division works with tier-one investors as well as owner-operators of PBSA, BTR, Co-living, and Hotel assets. The portfolios range across the UK and include pre-completion developments, new build schemes, and first-generation assets. They advise clients on increasing profitability, efficiency, and undertake transactional and development work.

The team provides cradle-to-grave operational services, including revenue and operating budget setting, working with clients and partners throughout leasing, marketing, pricing, and operating expenses. They also support asset mobilisation before practical completion and onwards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and executing business plans for portfolio properties
  • Assessing operating partners and implementing necessary changes
  • Managing rent setting matrices, including proposed launch rents for new assets
  • Advising on leasing strategies, sales, marketing, mobilisation, layouts, and design
  • Overseeing capital projects and asset repositioning
  • Progressing nomination agreements
  • Retendering or renegotiating property and facilities management services

The ideal candidate will be proactive, focused, and driven, with experience in the ‘beds’ sector, either as a chartered surveyor or working for an investor or operator. A good understanding of revenue management and operating models for operational real estate is essential. This is a varied and engaging role suited to someone detail-oriented.
