We are looking for an Asset Management Engineer -T &D Air or Gas-insulated Switchgear and associated equipment.

Electricity Transmission (ET) is navigating through an exciting time as we evolve to meet net-zero targets for 2050. Joining us as an Asset Management Engineer you will support the development of all aspects of the lifecycle for electricity transmission equipment in the required area of T&D Air or Gas-insulated Switchgear - Experience of specification, design, development, maintenance and/or lifetime management of transmission & distribution gas-insulated substations and their associated equipment.
Focussing on transmission level voltage equipment between 400kV and 33kV, working at the heart of National Grid Electricity Transmission’s Asset Management and Engineering department in Asset Operations to meet the aspirations of Net Zero and the delivery of the Great Grid Upgrade.
As an Asset Management Engineer within the Asset Management - Substation HV Plant team, you will drive the development of all aspects of Substation HV T&D Air or Gas-insulated Switchgear assets lifecycle within your specific area of technical expertise (depending on background/experience). Ensuring we support the delivery of our RIIO T2/T3 regulatory period commitments and develop the Asset intervention and net zero strategies for RIIO T3/T4 and beyond to meet strategic and business objectives.
