The Asset Management Engineer will be responsible to support the day-to-day project management of ECL Engine, APU, LG and other vital and high value components (assets). Working with internal and external partners to ensure there is visibility of the ECL requirements, the asset pool and its status, and working with approved suppliers to manage repairs and overhauls to ensure efficient fleet operations.

It is also essential that the Asset Management Engineer has a thorough understanding of (and remains up to date with) the protocols mandated by aviation regulatory requirements, their implications and how to ensure compliance.

The asset management of the Engines, APU’s, LG`s and other vital and high value components is a critical function to the operation, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the fleet as well as supporting asset trading where required.

It is also their responsibility to contribute to the smooth and effective functioning of the AMP and Asset Management team, while fostering a productive and collaborative working environment among team members ensuring set targets and deliverables are met timely and on expected manner

Key Responsibilities

The following list of responsibilities is not exhaustive (see ‘Other Duties’).

  • Assimilate and analyse large amounts of technical data necessary for asset reporting using OASES and other in-house tools.
  • Compile component data packages for repair, overhaul, and inspection requirements.
  • Provide technical support for components undergoing shop visits and maintenance.
  • Assist with the lifecycle management of aviation assets (e.g., engines, landing gear, key components), ensuring optimal utilisation and value retention.
  • Work alongside airworthiness teams, supply chain, and maintenance providers to ensure timely component delivery and operational readiness.
  • Monitor asset performance and contribute to budgeting, fleet component forecasting, and maintenance data analysis.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for audits, regulatory reviews, and asset reporting.
  • Support the Asset Management Supervisor in creating internal processes, procedures, and best practices for key projects.
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with customers, manufacturers, service providers, and suppliers.
  • Organise and represent the Asset Management team in internal and external meetings when required.
  • Assist with invoices, contracts, and purchase order arrangements for asset procurement and maintenance
  • Collaborate closely with the Asset Management Supervisor and wider team on key initiatives to maintain airline operations.
  • Provide other technical services as required by the Maintenance Programmes and Asset Management Supervisor, CAM or DCAM.

Other Duties

  • As directed by the Maintenance Programmes and Asset Management Supervisor, CAM or DCAM and as considered necessary to meet the day-to-day, ongoing requirements of the business.
  • The Asset Management Engineer must stay up-to-date with evolving aviation regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance and enhance safety protocols.

PERSON SPECIFICATION CRITERIA

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering or other relevant field discipline or an equivalent professional qualification or demonstrated working experience in the Engineering / Airworthiness department preferable
  • Experience working within a technical or continuing airworthiness management department.
  • Experience in aircraft certification, acquisition, technical services, and maintenance from a practical and continued airworthiness viewpoint.
  • Experience in Airbus and Boeing Aircraft and their documentation.
