A leading global asset manager is seeking an experienced Derivatives Lawyer to join its EMEA Asset Management Legal team. This role will involve providing legal support for a variety of financial instruments and collaborating with multiple stakeholders on strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years PQE in derivatives law preferably from a top-tier law firm or investment bank.

A leading global asset manager is seeking an experienced Derivatives Lawyer to join its legal team, supporting trading and documentation across a broad range of financial instruments including OTC derivatives, cleared swaps, futures, repos, cleared repos, and FX prime brokerage.

This role sits within the EMEA Asset Management Legal team and forms part of a globally integrated legal function that supports mutual funds, private funds, alternative investment vehicles, and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support and advice related to derivative and financing transactions.
• Collaborate with trading desks, business teams, and industry groups to manage regulatory implementation and market developments.
• Lead or contribute to the analysis and advocacy efforts in response to global regulatory changes.
• Partner with stakeholders across legal, compliance, and the broader business on strategic initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

• A minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in derivatives law, gained in a top-tier law firm, asset manager, fund, or investment bank.
• Strong technical understanding of derivatives and related regulatory frameworks.
• Experience advising on pension fund/scheme transactions is advantageous, but not essential.
• UK or US legal qualification preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and communicate effectively with both legal and non-legal audiences.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to develop strong internal relationships.
