The Company

Martley Capital Group is a full-service real estate investment management platform involved in real estate investing, lending, asset management, and investment advisory.

Launched in December 2023, the company employs approximately 35 staff across five offices in the UK and Europe, managing over £900m in assets across 22 mandates.

Since inception, Martley has focused on Direct Real Estate and Credit strategies, capitalizing on market dislocation and mispricing.

The platform has been engaged in several asset and investment management advisory mandates, mainly in the industrial sector, leveraging the team's extensive experience.

The Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Asset Management Analyst with versatility and a keen interest in contributing to a disruptive real estate enterprise. The role is based in London.

The primary responsibility is managing individual assets and analyzing asset management initiatives and portfolios.

Responsibilities
  1. Asset Management
  2. Managing aspects such as lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, lease expiries, surrenders, forfeitures, and lease regears.
  3. Preparing and submitting approvals, liaising with clients and fund administrators.
  4. Developing and executing value-add strategies.
  5. Reducing void costs and shortfalls, maximizing rent collection.
  6. Managing third-party service providers.
  7. Overseeing refurbishment programs and asset repositioning.
  8. Inspecting assets, managing repairs, occupation, and common parts.
  9. Ensuring tenancy data accuracy, reviewing service charge budgets, approving invoices.
  10. Overseeing health and safety compliance, attending stakeholder meetings, preparing reports.
  11. Investment Analysis
  12. Updating financial models for asset management initiatives and leasing opportunities.
  13. Assessing capex projects and asset management initiatives financially.
  14. Supporting annual budgeting and due diligence for acquisitions.
Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • MRICS qualification
  • Real Estate Financial Modelling Certification
  • Knowledge of Landlord & Tenant legislation
  • Experience in delivering value-add across real estate asset classes
  • Experience in report production for senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Yardi or similar property databases
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, with problem-solving aptitude
  • A team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility
  • Diplomatic, tactful, professional attitude
