Job summary

The University of Nottingham is seeking an experienced Asset Investment Engineer to manage, maintain and optimise the performance and lifecycle of physical assets across University Sites. You will advise on mechanical and electrical building services, align with estate strategies and capital development programmes, and help resolve complex asset-related technical issues.

Role involves supporting the Construction and Project Management Team, evaluating suppliers, and ensuring work is completed

Qualifications

• Experience in operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical building services.
• Proven understanding of asset life-cycle management and maintenance planning.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical or operational issues affecting assets or systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on asset operation and performance across university sites.
• Support and guide project management teams on asset-related development briefs and design reviews.
• Manage mechanical and electrical suppliers, ensuring health and safety compliance and timely delivery.
