Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson is seeking an Asset Inventory Engineer to support a major Offshore Wind Project in Denmark. The role involves field and desk-based surveys across LV, AUX, SCS, and WTG systems, creating inventories from scratch or validating existing records, and ensuring accurate documentation of equipment, configurations, and interdependencies.

Offshore wind experience and safety certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in OT/SCADA/Industrial automation.
• Experience with asset inventory, asset verification, or configuration management.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, network diagrams, and asset hierarchies.
• Experience with asset management systems and data reconciliation.
• Comfortable working independently in office and field environments, offshore wind experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field-based asset surveys across LV, AUX, SCS, and WTG systems.
• Create inventories from scratch or validate/improve existing records for LV and AUX, SCS, WTG.
• Perform onshore and offshore site surveys with PPE per GWO and site safety rules.
• Identify, document, and verify OT assets (PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, servers, switches, firewalls, IEDs, comms gear).
• Support collection and maintenance of asset inventory data across OT environments, ensuring documentation and interdependencies are accurate.
• Reconcile inventory records against Asset Management tool, engineering docs, drawings, and asset registers.

Asset Inventory Engineer for a major Offshore Wind Project in Denmark

Responsibilities

• Support Clients Asset Inventory Programme across LV, AUX, SCS, and WTG systems by conducting both field-based asset surveys and desk-based inventory reconciliation activities.
• Create asset inventories from scratch or validate and improve existing inventories for LV and AUX systems, SCS and WTG systems.
• Conduct onshore and offshore site surveys, including substations and wind turbines, with proper PPE and in line with GWO and site safety requirements.
• Identify, document, and verify OT assets, including PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, servers, switches, firewalls, protection relays, IEDs, and communication equipment.
• Support the collection and maintenance of asset inventory information across OT environments, ensuring that equipment, software, system configurations, locations, and interdependencies are accurately documented and aligned with organizational requirements.
• Reconcile inventory records against Asset Management tool, engineering documentation, drawings, and existing asset registers.

Qualifications

• Experience 5+ years of experience in OT, SCADA, Industrial Automation, or Control Systems.
• Experience performing asset inventory, asset verification, or configuration management activities.
• Able to understand engineering drawings, network architecture, and asset hierarchies.
• Experience with asset management systems and asset data reconciliation.
• Comfortable working independently in both office and field environments.
• Offshore wind experience mandatory.
• GWO, Offshore Survival, and Offshore Medical certifications preferred.
