Asset Information & Performance Lead | Nottingham | £37,500 - £42,500 | Permanent

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced CMMS Administrator or Asset Systems Analyst looking to take ownership of a business-critical maintenance management system within a complex engineering environment?

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK transport and infrastructure operator for an Asset Information & Performance Lead to lead the administration, development and continuous improvement of its Agility CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).

Reporting into the Engineering Assurance function, you will play a pivotal role in improving the quality, accuracy and accessibility of engineering and asset information across the business. Acting as the owner of the CMMS, you will drive data quality improvements, enhance reporting capabilities and develop a long-term roadmap to ensure the system evolves in line with operational and business requirements.

This is a highly visible role with direct influence on asset performance, maintenance reporting, operational decision-making and contractual reporting. You'll work closely with engineering teams, technicians and stakeholders to ensure maintenance and asset data is translated into meaningful business intelligence.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining systems administration, asset management, reporting, analysis and continuous improvement within an asset-intensive engineering environment.

Asset Information & Performance Lead Responsibilities
  • CMMS Administration & Ownership
Take full ownership of the Agility CMMS, managing system administration, user permissions, workflows, asset registers, work orders and system configuration.
  • Asset Data Management
Maintain, manage and improve the quality of engineering and asset information within the CMMS, ensuring accuracy, consistency and integrity across all data sets.
  • Asset Performance Reporting
Develop and maintain asset performance reporting, providing meaningful insights that support engineering, operational and contractual decision-making.
  • Dashboard Development
Create and implement centralised asset performance dashboards, providing accessible and reliable management information across the business.
  • Data Quality Improvement
Lead data cleansing initiatives and establish processes that improve the accuracy and reliability of engineering and maintenance records.
  • Root Cause Analysis
Identify the underlying causes of poor-quality data and implement sustainable improvements across systems, processes and data capture methods.
  • System Development & Continuous Improvement
Develop and implement a long-term roadmap for the Agility CMMS, ensuring the system continues to evolve in line with business requirements.
  • Systems Integration
Identify opportunities to improve the flow of information between the CMMS and other business systems to enhance reporting capability and operational efficiency.
  • Client Performance Reporting
Take ownership of monthly performance reporting requirements, ensuring information provided to clients is accurate, consistent and delivered to agreed timescales.
  • User Training & Support
Work closely with technicians and operational teams to improve data entry standards, system utilisation and overall data quality.
  • Financial & Business Reporting
Support financial claims, purchase order reporting and other business-critical reporting requirements linked to engineering and asset management activities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
Build effective relationships with engineering teams, operational stakeholders and management to ensure asset information is effectively captured, managed and utilised.
  • Continuous Improvement Leadership
Drive projects that improve asset stewardship, reporting capability, maintenance information management and overall business performance.
Ideal Asset Information & Performance Lead
  • CMMS / EAM Experience
Proven experience administering CMMS or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems within an engineering setting.
  • Engineering Asset Knowledge
Experience working with engineering assets, maintenance activities, reliability information, asset registers and work order data.
  • Reporting & Analytics
Strong analytical capability with experience producing management information, performance reporting and business intelligence outputs.
  • Data Governance & Quality
Experience managing, cleansing and improving complex data sets while driving long-term improvements in data quality and governance.
  • System Development
Experience supporting system enhancements, configuration changes or continuous improvement initiatives within CMMS or EAM platforms.
  • Process Improvement
Ability to identify underlying causes of operational or data-related issues and implement practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technicians, engineers, operational teams and senior stakeholders.
  • User Training & Development
Experience supporting end users and driving improvements in system utilisation and data capture standards.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making
Demonstrable ability to analyse information, identify trends, investigate issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Asset Performance Understanding
Knowledge of asset condition monitoring, maintenance management, reliability reporting or asset performance management would be highly advantageous.
  • Systems & Reporting Tools
Experience with CMMS, EAM, reporting tools, dashboards, databases or API integrations would be beneficial.
