Job summary

Greencore Warrington site is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform electrical and mechanical fault finding, planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment to maximise uptime and reliability.

Role requires Level 2 Engineering or equivalent, knowledge of maintenance systems, and experience in food/FMCG manufacturing is desirable. The position offers a permanent, full-time, site-based role with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Level 2 engineering qualification and related certification.
• Strong understanding of maintenance engineering systems in manufacturing.
• Experience with compliance and daily maintenance tasks.
• Experience in food/FMCG manufacturing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Respond to production needs to maximise uptime and reliability.
• Adhere to food safety standards and controls; ensure all work is audit-ready.
• Complete documentation accurately for audits and records.
• Identify opportunities for improvements to safety and efficiency.

You will be on a Permanent rota of either the below:

• Sunday to Thursday: 16:30-00:30
• Tuesday to Saturday: 16:30-00:30

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out both electrical and mechanical fault finding, problem solving, planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment to maximise equipment reliability, performance and up time
• Respond to internal customer needs to maximise production up time according to given priorities
• Comply with food safety standards and controls to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely
• Complete all necessary documentation ensuring that it is kept accurate and is audit ready
• Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety and/or operational efficiency and effectiveness

• Level 2 (Engineering) or equivalent experience with appropriate certification
• High level of understanding/knowledge around Mandatory & compliance daily tasks
• Knowledge of maintenance Engineering Systems within a manufacturing environment
• Food/FMCG Manufacturing Experience is desirable
