Overview

Asset Care Shift Engineer

Humdinger, Sherburn LS25 6PJ

JoinHumdinger, a top chocolate and nut snacking factory, as an Asset Care Engineerand help keep our fantastic machinery running smoothly. You’ll play a key role in maintaining equipment to high standards, ensuring quality and safety, and supporting continuous improvement across our production lines.

Salary:£45,288 annuallyShift Pattern:Rotating 12-hour Day & Night shifts with rest daysHoliday: 25 days + bank holidays

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance with a 'Right First Time' approach.
  • Work closely with the Asset Care Lead Engineer and other Shift Engineers to prioritise tasks and escalate risks.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety standards.
  • Optimise maintenance systems and contribute to engineering KPIs like uptime and OEE.
Qualifications
  • Multi-skilled engineering apprenticeship.
  • Experience maintaining machinery within food manufacturing or FMCG environments.
  • Electrical skills preferred (at a minimum, basic fault-finding skills, safe installation practices, and experience with three-phase motors.)
  • Experience with CMMS systems
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Desirable: HNC/HND, PLC programming, flow wrapper/bag former experience
