Asset Care Engineering Technician

Location: Manchester

Type: Permanent contract

Hours: 40 hours per week: Monday - Friday; 7AM - 3PM

We now have an opening for an Asset Care Engineering Technician in Manchester Dairy, offering career development pathways from Technician to Multi-Skilled Engineer.

The role involves working in the Filling/Workshop area, performing asset care tasks, refurbishment activities, greasing, and equipment checks.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure effective shift handover of information
• Perform planned preventative maintenance on equipment such as sleever, filters, panels, and more
• Maintain rotational spares, modules, rails, units, chucks, actuators, and follow CIL schedules
• Set up and maintain standard operating conditions
• Maintain trolley packer equipment
• Identify and report machinery defects or failure symptoms
• Service, adjust, and repair machinery safely and properly
• Use CMMS system accurately for recording and analysis
• Support site roadmaps for quality, health & safety, EMS, and autonomous maintenance
• Participate in improvement activities within facilities and engineering areas
• Understand how actions impact site/business goals
• Experience in FMCG or engineering workshop environment beneficial
• Asset care and condition monitoring experience advantageous
• Knowledge of LOTO procedures and PC literacy beneficial
