We have a brand new opportunity at Royal London Asset Management. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Asset Based Finance (ABF) team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and managing ABF assets, analyzing and modeling financial data. This role is key to guiding the strategic growth of our Private Asset business. It offers a unique chance to work with industry experts, develop innovative strategies, and support our growth initiatives.

We are looking for candidates proficient in ABS cash flow modeling (asset and liability run-off) in Excel, with a good understanding of private ABS structures. The ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences is essential.

About the role

• Assist in sourcing and managing Asset Based Finance (ABF) assets.
• Analyze, model, prepare credit papers, and monitor ABF structures.
• Contribute to strategy development for the Structured Credit and Private Asset teams.
• Support the growth of RLAM’s Private Asset Business.
• Help shape the strategic development of RLAM’s Private Asset business.

About you

• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Understanding of asset-based finance products.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, especially building Excel models for asset and liability run-off.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and modeling tools used in financial analysis.
• Familiarity with structured finance rating agency methodologies.
• Ability to write detailed investment and credit memos.
• Experience in finance or investment analysis.
• Proficiency in PC skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint; programming skills are a plus.
• Good knowledge of information systems: Bloomberg; familiarity with Intex and Aladdin is beneficial.
