Assessor and Tutor (Hospitality)

Location:Swindon - North Star Campus

Salary:£16,392 - £17,613 per annum

Are you passionate about shaping the future of the hospitality industry? Do you thrive on sharing your knowledge and inspiring others to succeed?

We're looking for a Hospitality Assessor & Tutor (22.2 hours per week, all year) to join our brilliant team. In this role, you'll support and guide apprentices across a range of hospitality programmes, including Commis Chef and Food Production, helping them grow their skills and confidence both in the classroom and in the workplace.

What you will do as anAssessor and Tutor

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons and workshops that bring hospitality to life.
  • Support learners throughout their apprenticeship journey, from induction to achievement.
  • Visit apprentices in the workplaces, building strong relationships with employers (expenses will be reimbursed).
  • Create and assess assignments that challenge and inspire.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement.

Experience/Qualifications Of AAssessor And Tutor

  • Be a qualified professional with experience in the catering or hospitality industry (Level 3 or above).
  • Have Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English (or willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe).
  • Have a Level 3 Assessor Award (or be willing to obtain during employment).
  • Be someone who enjoys mentoring and has a knack for motivating learners.
  • Be a confident communicator with strong organisational skills.
  • Be a team player who's also comfortable working independently.
  • Have a commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusive education.
