Assessor
For Adult Care
Permanent
Fully Remote - Attending the Birmingham office twice a year, with all hotel and travel expenses paid.
Ideally live near to Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham or Darlington, but can live anywhere in the UK, as this is fully remote, with approx once to twice a year to one of these locations.
Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm (with flexibility) 45 mins lunch.
Equipment is provided, including a laptop, mobile, headsets etc.

Job Role

Carrying out assessing and end point assessment activities and making decisions for apprenticeship standards.
Must have either end point assessing experience or worked as an assessor or as a Tutor for Adult Care or Health and social care to adults' level 3.
Conducting these online.
Planning meetings with apprentices and employers online.
Agreeing a plan and schedule for each assessment activity for the end point window.
Marking in line with grading criteria for the apprenticeship standard and confirming each element has been completed.
Determine the overall grade for the apprentice based on the combination of performance in all assessment activities.
Participate in standardization and training activities.

Essential Requirements for the Role

Must be Assessor and IQA qualified - such as A1 or TAQA or D32/D33 or CAVA and V1 or D34.
Must have been either an end point assessor or an assessor or Tutor in Adult Care or health and social care for adults up to Level 3.
If Tutoring experience, must have kept up to date with competencies for the assessor's award.
Must have experience in the past working in a care home in any role for adults.
