Job summary

The Disability Service in the United Kingdom is hiring for a hybrid role focusing on PIP assessments. This position offers Monday to Friday schedules with time built in for breaks, CPD, and team meetings.

You will manage your own caseload and deliver face-to-face, virtual, and telephone assessments, plus paper-based reports (PBR). The role includes progression with salary rising from £39,500 to £40,500 on DWP approval and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional with registration (NMC/HCPC).
• Experience in disability assessment environments preferred.
• Valid registration with no restrictions.

Earn more as you progress through the training stages, starting with a £39,500 rising to £40,500 upon achieving DWP approval, with the potential to earn performance related bonuses your OTE will be around £44,550.

What youll do

Youll provide comprehensive assessments for the Governments disability allowance (PIP), delivering face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls and paper-based reports (PBR).

Managing your own caseloads gives you variety and autonomy, allowing you to shape each case with your expertise. Youll assess a full range of conditions, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.

What youll need

• Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic
• At least one year of experience after qualification
• Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions

Strong communication skills and IT literacy will help you succeed, as youll be working with a wide range of service users and digital systems.
