Job summary

Local Authority is seeking an Assessment and Child Protection Advanced Practitioner in Swindon, Wiltshire. This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid working and a salary up to £51,356 depending on experience.

You will assess needs, risks, and wellbeing of children and families, investigate safeguarding concerns, and develop protection plans. Requires a Social Work degree and UK work rights (no sponsorship).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and review child protection and support plans.
  • Conduct home visits and maintain regular contact with children and families.
  • Work with schools, health services, police, and other agencies to safeguard children.
  • Prepare reports and attend child protection conferences, court hearings, and review meetings.
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legislation and policies.
  • Promote the safety, welfare, and best interests of children at all times.
