Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor for long-term placements at a mainstream secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent. The role requires resilience, strong classroom management, and the ability to uphold the school's behaviour and discipline policy while ensuring students complete pre-planned work.

Ideal candidates will have experience with young people in a secondary setting and the confidence to manage challenging classes. On-going support from TeacherActive is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the confidence to take control of challenging classes.
• Proven ability to manage misbehaviour firmly, calmly and consistently.
• Confidence implementing and following school behaviour and discipline policies.

Responsibilities

• Take firm control of the classroom and confidently challenge poor behaviour.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects.
• Follow the school’s behaviour and discipline policy consistently.
