Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assembly and test of flight-critical actuators and components.
  • Inspect component parts using measuring equipment.
  • Complete quality audits and manage the release to service.

Assembly & Test Technician - Aerospace (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: Onsite - Wolverhampton, UK
Employment Type: Full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract
Schedule: Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4:15pm, Friday 7:30am-11:30am

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Assembly & Test Technician on behalf of my client, a leading organisation in the aerospace sector based in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly skilled team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, contributing to the precision assembly and testing of flight-critical components.

Key Responsibilities
Assembly and test of flight-critical actuators and subcomponents with high precision and accuracy
Using measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and height gauges to inspect component parts
Working from engineering drawings and component maintenance manuals
Completing quality audits and taking responsibility for various aspects of the A&T process, including the release to service of repaired actuators

Key Skills
Apprentice trained (or equivalent level of qualification), ideally within Mechanical Engineering
Proven experience within an engineering/manufacturing role is essential, ideally within aerospace or related industries
Good knowledge of assembly and test manufacturing processes
Competent in reading and following different set procedures
Experience working within an aerospace quality system is desirable
Dynamic and proactive attitude

Additional Information
