Description

At Livelink Aerospace, we are at the forefront of aerospace innovation. We pride ourselves on delivering high-reliability, cutting-edge technology. As we continue to scale our operations, we are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Assembly Technician to join our production team.

In this role, you will work across both conventional PCB assembly and prototype development, playing a hands-on role in bringing our advanced aerospace systems to life.

As a Production Assembler / Assistant, you will be primarily based at our Havant facility, with occasional travel to our Lavant site to support prototype production and collaborative projects.

You will handle everything from high-precision soldering to complex electromechanical and cable assemblies. This is a brilliant opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys variety, hands-on problem-solving, and working on next-generation aerospace technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conventional PCB Assembly: Populate and assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) using both through-hole and surface-mount technologies.
  • SMT & Through-Hole Soldering: Perform high-standard hand soldering for Through-Hole population and SMT components.
  • Cable & Loom Assembly: Fabricate, route, and tie complex wiring harnesses, looms, and cable assemblies to exact aerospace specifications.
  • Electromechanical Assembly: Build, integrate, and package mechanical components with electronic systems.
  • Prototype Production: Work closely with engineering teams to assemble first-run prototype builds, providing valuable feedback on design-for-manufacture (DFM).
  • Inspection: Conduct thorough visual and IPC-standard inspections of your own work and incoming assemblies to ensure zero-defect production.
  • Rework & Modifications: Perform precision rework, trace repairs, and engineering modifications on populated PCBs and assemblies.
  • Documentation: Follow detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and build instructions, ensuring all assembly logs and quality documentation are accurately maintained.

  • Strong manual dexterity and proficiency in Through-Hole and SMT soldering.
  • Deep understanding of cable assembly, wiring, and loom work.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Keen eye for detail with experience in IPC-standard inspection and PCB rework.
