Outstanding Opportunity for Assembly Technicians!

Our client has been providing advanced food production equipment and solutions around the world for over 40 years.

They have 120 employees working at two production sites and supply leading food companies in 63 countries-and they keep growing.

To support this growth, they’re expanding their Production team and looking for Assembly Technicians to help build and assemble high-quality stainless steel food processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble a variety of food processing equipment, from frame to final build (belts, motors, plastics, pneumatics)
  • Interpret and work from 2D and 3D AutoCAD/SolidWorks drawings
  • Use fabrication hand tools to deliver a high-quality finish
  • Perform self-quality checks to ensure build meets customer standards
  • Manage time effectively to stay within allocated hours
  • Report issues to the Production Team Leader promptly
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Occasionally assist with equipment installation and commissioning at customer sites (weekday/weekend)
  • Liaise with internal departments to maintain workflow
  • Opportunity to upskill in welding through internal training

Requirements:

  • Proficient in using fabrication hand tools
  • Ability to read 2D/3D technical drawings (AutoCAD/SolidWorks)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Positive, problem-solving mindset with a high attention to detail
  • Manual Handling and Abrasive Wheel certification required
  • FLT and MEWP tickets are an advantage but not essential
  • Experience in food processing equipment assembly and pneumatic systems is a plus

  • Overtime available x1.5 regular / x2 Sundays / x3 Bank holidays
  • 40 hours guaranteed
  • £14 to £18 p/h
