Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd in Bedford is recruiting an Assembly Technician to join a well-established engineering company.

You will read diagrams and drawings, assemble mechanical parts with a range of hand tools, maintain workstation inventories, perform quality checks, and ensure a clean, safe working area while following procedures and wiring practices.

The role offers a Monday–Friday, 7-4 or 8-5 schedule and a salary of £26,000–£30,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret basic diagrams, drawings and specifications to assemble products.
• Use of a variety of handheld tools.
• Maintain inventory of parts at workstations.
• Perform quality checks to meet standards.

Position: Assembly Technician
Location: Bedford
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7-4pm or 8-5pm (candidate preference)

Assembly technician required to join a well-established Engineering company that isbased in the Bedford area. The successful candidate will be assisting with theassembling of mechanical parts, using a variety of tools and equipment making wiring enclosures.

Assembly Technician Job Overview

• Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, andother written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble products
• Use of variety of handheld tools
• Maintain inventory of product and parts in workstations
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards

Assembly Technician Job Requirements

• Proficient in the use of hand tools
• Enthusiasm and interest in engineering and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of materials, ability to distinguish types.
• Previous experience in manufacturing/ engineering environment advantageous, buttransferable skills will be considered

Assembly Technician Salary & Benefits

• 42.4 hour week M-F, 7-4pm or 8-5pm (candidate preference)
• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
• Pension scheme – paying 8% following a 3-month probation completion
