Job summary

Allstaff is seeking an Assembly Operator to join their Thornliebank site on a twilight shift (Mon-Thu, 4.30pm–10pm). Initially temporary with a view to permanent after 10 weeks. Duties include production and assembly of plastic parts, packing, palletising and despatch preparation.

Experience in manufacturing is desirable but not essential; the role involves some machine work and manual handling. Training will be provided for equipment and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/assembly is beneficial.
• Ability to inspect parts and identify defects.
• Willingness to handle packing and despatch tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble plastic parts and sub-assemblies to specification.
• Pack and label bags accurately.
• Palletise boxed product for despatch.
• Organise goods for despatch and inspect components.
• Identify defects or damaged components and raise concerns.
• Operate basic machinery and hand tools where required.
• Some machine work and manual handling involved.

Allstaff Manufacturing has an exciting opportunity for Assembly Operators to work with our client at their site in Thornliebank, on a twilight shift, initially on a temporary basis with a view to becoming a permanent role after 10 weeks. Hours of work for this role are Monday to Thursday 4.30pm – 10pm.

Duties

• Production and assembly of plastic parts
• Packing and labelling of bags
• Palletising boxed product
• Organising goods for despatch
• Inspecting parts before and after assembly
• Identifying defects or damaged components
• Assembling components and sub-assemblies to specification
• Using basic hand tools
• Operating basic machinery or assembly equipment

The role will involve some machine work and some manual handling.

Manufacturing experience is desired but not essential for this role.
