Job summary

MTrec are recruiting for a renowned manufacturing company in the Houghton-le-Spring area to join production and assembly teams. The role focuses on assembling electronic circuit boards, soldering to drawings, and ensuring quality through inspection and testing of PCB assemblies and final products.

You will contribute to final system assembly, cabling, chassis build, packing, and stock support in a clean environment, with on-the-job training and a path to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in SMT facility or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Willingness to learn new skills to operate SMT line.
• Strong team player; able to work independently and with others.
• Excellent attention to detail with dexterity for repetitive tasks.
• Reliable and flexible with a keen willingness to learn and develop skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble PCB boards and solder per production drawings.
• Inspect and test PCB assemblies and final products to meet quality standards.
• Carry out final system assembly including cabling, chassis build and packaging in a clean environment.
• Accurately pack finished units, prepare for dispatch, and support stock management.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with ISO9001, IPC610 and J-STD standards.

MTrec are currently recruiting for a renowned and respected manufacturing company based in the Houghton-le-Spring area. MTrec are currently looking for proactive individuals who are looking for a long-term position in production and assembly.

The Job You\'ll Do:

• Assemble electronic circuit boards and perform soldering tasks in line with production drawings


• Inspect and test PCB assemblies and final products to ensure they meet quality standards


• Carry out final system assembly, including cabling, chassis build, and packaging in a clean environment


• Accurately pack finished units, prepare for dispatch, and support stock management


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with ISO9001, IPC610, and J‑STD standards

About You:

• Ideally, possess experience in an SMT facility or manufacturing environment.


• Willingness to learn new skills required to operate the SMT line.


• Strong team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.


• Excellent attention to detail, good eyesight, and dexterity for accurate performance of repetitive tasks.


• Reliable and flexible approach to work, with a keen willingness to learn and develop new skills.

The Hours You\'ll Work:

• 08:00am to 16:30pm, Monday to Thursday


• 08:00am to 15:00pm, Friday

The Pay You\'ll Receive:

• £13.10 per hour (Day Shift)


• £15.46 per hour (Back Shift)


• £16.64 per hour (Night Shift)
