Position: Assembly Operative

Location: Thame

Type: Permanent

Shifts:
  • Early shift: 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Thursday; 6:00am to 11:00am on Fridays. Salary: £24,700
  • Late shift: 2:30pm to 11:00pm, Monday to Thursday; 11:00am to 4:00pm on Fridays. Salary: £27,300
Job Description:

Proactive is recruiting Assembly Operatives in Thame. The role requires flexibility to respond to varying demand, with minimal supervision, focusing on manufacturing components and assembling products. Candidates will need to use hand tools, follow written instructions, and stand at a workbench throughout the shift.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work independently in various areas such as component manufacturing, product assembly, wiring, and testing to meet delivery deadlines.
  2. Manufacture components and assemble products according to build instructions, drawings, BOMs, or related documentation.
  3. Organize components and products tidily, ensuring correct identification.
  4. Maintain accurate production and product records.
  5. Coordinate with Team Leaders and monitor stock levels.
  6. Report any plant or equipment maintenance issues to the Production Manager.
  7. Suggest improvements for efficiency and safety in production areas and equipment.
  8. Identify manufacturing issues and collaborate on solutions with the Production Manager.
