Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Working with various Aero space Materials.
  • Fitting Vespal bushes.
  • Fitting Spacers to the correct Height.
  • Utilising various power tools including Linisher and De-burring.
  • Bonding specific components.
  • Taking extreme care and attention in handling aerospace parts.
  • Gluing, fitting and removal of Vespal pads.
  • Fitting Pins to the correct height and depth.
  • Fitting Helicoils and Pins to the correct depth and height to Drawing Requirements.
  • Fitting and removal of Thinserts.
  • Reading various calibration equipment relevant to the department.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
  • Contribute to SQDCP boards and team meetings where required.
  • Carry TPM checks where required.

Experience, Knowledge and Education:

  • An understanding of health and safety in the workplace. (Essential)
  • Understanding the principles of a standard work instruction. (Essential)
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment. (Desirable)
  • Demonstrate a good level of numeracy & literacy. (Essential)
  • Experience in deburring and working with metal parts.(Desirable)
  • Experience working within Aerospace and Nuclear(Desirable)

Skills and Abilities:

  • Good manual dexterity & hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a small team.
  • Ability to use hand tools & equipment effectively.
  • Have a proactive and positive attitude to improvements and 5’s.
  • Good attention to detail & quality.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Displays flexibility and adaptability.
  • Willingness to improve on existing skills and learn new ones
  • Ability to be resilient and work well under pressure.
  • Cover holidays and capacity issues with overtime when required
  • Communicate through all levels of production.
