Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Assembly Operative to join our client's dynamic team. Our client is a leading manufacturing company in the [Location] area, known for their high-quality products and commitment to innovation. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of their production department and contribute to their ongoing success.

Hours of Work: The standard hours are 37 per week, with overtime opportunities available.

We offer two rotational shift patterns: early and late:

• Early shift: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm (Monday to Thursday), and 6:00 am to 1:30 pm on Friday.
• Late shift: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm (Monday to Thursday), and 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday.

Pay rates are competitive and vary depending on role and experience:

• Before 12 weeks: £11.44
• After 12 weeks: £11.98
• Upon achieving competency: £12.52

Shift premiums are available for roles on specific shifts.

The AM shift offers 7 hours at the basic rate, and the PM shift offers 9 hours at the basic rate.

As an Assembly Operative, your main responsibilities will include:

• Reading work instructions, technical drawings, and diagrams.
• Gathering parts and equipment for assembly.
• Assembling components and products to specifications, maintaining quality standards.
• Conducting quality checks.
• Operating and maintaining tools and equipment.
• Collaborating with team members for efficient workflow.
• Reporting issues or defects.
