Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking an Assembly Operative at our Rainham site. This permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week) reports to the Assembly Team Leader and involves assembling brassware components with accuracy and speed, building, testing and packing products to meet quality standards.

You will work with hand and power tools, follow standard procedures, maintain a clean workstation and adhere to PPE and safety rules while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing (preferred, but not essential).
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to follow instructions and work accurately.
• Basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail and quality focus.
• Ability to work as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.
• Good time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assembling brassware components according to detailed work instructions and quality standards.
• Building, testing and packing products to the required quality standards and output targets.
• Utilising hand tools and power tools as required for assembly tasks.
• Undertaking all work in accordance with standard procedures and work instructions.
• Inspecting assembled components for defects and ensuring they meet quality specifications.
• Maintaining a clean and organised workstation.
• Adhering to all safety regulations and wearing required PPE.
• Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Recognising and reporting failures or problems with standard procedures and work instructions, and making suggestions for improvement.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as an Assembly Operative within our growing team at our Rainham site. This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week), reporting to the Assembly Team Leader.

About the Job

You will join our team producing high-quality brassware products. You will contribute to the production of our brassware products by assembling components with accuracy and speed, while maintaining a high level of quality.

What you will be responsible for

• Assembling brassware components according to detailed work instructions and quality standards.
• Building, testing and packing products to the required quality standards and output targets.
• Utilising hand tools and power tools as required for assembly tasks.
• Undertaking all work in accordance with standard procedures and work instructions.
• Inspecting assembled components for defects and ensuring they meet quality specifications.
• Maintaining a clean and organised workstation.
• Adhering to all safety regulations and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Recognising and reporting failures or problems with standard procedures and work instructions, and making suggestions for improvement.
• May be required to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods standing up.
• Ability to be flexible in your working approach, as the business requires.
