Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Assembly & Installation Technician for their Telford site. This role involves supporting projects in advanced design and manufacturing. Candidates must have strong electro-mechanical skills, knowledge of manufacturing techniques, and proficiency in MS Office. You will be tasked with delivering projects to meet customer expectations and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. This position is UK-based, without sponsorship opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must possess excellent all-round electro-mechanical experience.
  • Good knowledge of the latest manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience with a metrology equipment manufacturer required.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office.
  • Experience of working from concept to manufacture.
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills.

Working at the Telford site of a global measure technology organisation, you will be supporting and delivering on tie projects with the Advanced Design & Manufacturing Technology portfolio

Job role / duties

•Based in the Work & Fitting Shop, you will deliver required tasks on time and in cost / quality parameters in order to meet customer expectations.
•Ensure adherence to SHEQ compliance within the workplace and within end user sites
•Produce engaging content for trainees
•Work from abstract concepts through to finished equipment provision
•Formulate solutions to customer requirements in metrology equipment
•As part of the team, you will be responsible for working to budget.
•Liaise with team members and external contacts to ensure a strong continuity of communication.
•Attend both on-site and virtual meetings

To be considered for this post you MUST:

•Possess excellent all round electro-mechanical experience.
•Have good all-round knowledge of the latest manufacturing techniques.
•Have previously worked for a metrology equipment manufacturer.
•Be highly proficient with MS Office.
•Have experience of working from concept to manufacture
•Have exceptional written & verbal communication skills
•Be able to present technical information
•Be a proven problem solver
