As a trusted global leader in aerospace, defence, and space, we are proud to be a company where diversity, innovation, and opportunity come together to shape a sustainable future where we can all succeed together through a shared vision.

Safran Landing Systems are a global leader in aircraft landing and braking systems, from commercial and business travel to military and defence fleets.

Our expertise covers the entire life cycle of our products from end-to-end; Design, Engineering & Manufacturing, through to Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO). The Gloucester OE site has been at the forefront of landing gear technology for over 85 years, dating from the innovative designs of Sir George Dowty to advanced landing gears for the world's most modern aircraft today.

About the Role:

You will take ownership of industrialisation activities across a range of Assembly Projects, leading cross-functional teams to successfully introduce new products and processes into production. As the key focal point for industrialisation, you will drive the delivery of efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality assembly solutions while ensuring projects meet programme objectives and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of industrialisation activities for Assembly Projects, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and industry standards.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with multifunctional teams, including engineering, production, quality, purchasing, and methods, to deliver robust and timely results.
  • Support Transfer of Work projects, coordinating relevant activities, managing project timelines, and ensuring smooth handovers.
  • Apply technical expertise to identify and implement cost-effective assembly methods and new production technologies (e.g., 3D printing).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including the adoption of Lean principles and best practices within assembly processes.
  • Facilitate effective communication and information flow between project stakeholders, escalating issues and driving timely resolution.
  • Support the development and standardisation of administrative processes, documentation, and reporting templates for industrialisation activities.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on industrialisation metrics, using data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and support site-level assembly initiatives as needed.
What You'll Bring:
  • Experience supporting industrialisation or manufacturing projects.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Skilled in developing and managing production roadmaps and project plans.
  • Experience managing budgets and controlling project costs.
  • Knowledge of pilot production, production ramp-up, and mass production readiness.
  • Working towards or holding a recognised project management qualification (APM or PRINCE2).
  • Good understanding of engineering activities and project lifecycles.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
