Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking an Assembly Fitter in Melton Mowbray to join a fast-growing manufacturing company. The role involves assembling, fitting and finishing components for commercial vehicles, ensuring high quality and safety standards are met.

The position is full-time and permanent, offering a competitive hourly rate (£13-£15) with potential to advance to £16+ based on performance. Training and development are provided to help you progress within the company.

Qualifications

• Background in joinery, carpentry, assembly or coachbuilding.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit and install components, equipment and bodywork to commercial vehicles.
• Carry out coachbuilding, vehicle body assembly and general fitting work.
• Fit vehicle panels, doors, floors, frameworks, brackets and other associated components.
• Use hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, fitting instructions and job specifications.
• Carry out drilling, cutting, measuring, trimming and other fabrication tasks as required.

We are looking for either a skilled and semi skilled Assembly Fitter in Melton Mowbry. The successful candidate will play an important role in the construction, assembly, fitting and finishing of commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality, safety and workmanship.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Assembly Fitter to work for a fast growing manufacturing company who have just moved into a larger site where progression routes are supported and encouraged.

We are looking for someone with a practical, hands-on approach which may come in the form of joinery, carpentry, assembly or coachbuilding experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Assembly Fitter

• Assemble, fit and install components, equipment and bodywork to commercial vehicles.
