Job summary

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a Time served Mechanical Fitter to join our assembly team in the UK. You will work on pumps for OE and aftermarket orders, assembling and dismantling, following work instructions and quality checks to ensure reliable, high‑quality output.

The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Strong communication, ability to support peers, and flexibility to travel for site work may be required.

Qualifications

• Time served Mechanical Fitter with up to 3 years relevant experience, preferably in heavy manufacturing.
• Have an understanding and experience of lean manufacturing techniques.
• Team Player with energy and commitment to participate in change and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Assembly of new pumps for OE and aftermarket orders within laid down parameters, efficiently, in line with work instructions.
• Dismantling and assembly of repair/service pumps for OE and aftermarket orders within laid down parameters, efficiently, in line with work instructions.
• Work within assembly to ensure economical manufacturing to the correct quality standard.
• Responsible for own quality of work, self-inspection and completion of paperwork and checklists.
• Assist Operations Manager with problems in the assembly department and coordinate with other departments to resolve issues promptly.
• Assist in preparing/updating assembly documentation, programs, and tooling.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to drive down costs and increase productivity.
• If required, attend customer sites to carry out service work on behalf of the company.
• Work in other areas when required and support company policies and goals.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental guidelines are followed.

General Summary

The Mechanical Fitter will work as part of a team within the assembly area, working on pumps for Original Equipment [OE] and aftermarket jobs. The role will include all aspects of assembly from building to dismantling product working in all areas within assembly. Working efficiently to produce quality product and workmanship within timeframe applicable. Help with continuous improvement within areas to improve flow and drive down costs.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities (essential Functions)

• Assembly of new pumps for OE and aftermarket orders within laid down parameters, efficiently, in line with work instructions.
• Dismantling and assembly of repair / service pumps for OE and aftermarket orders within laid down parameters, efficiently, in line with work instructions.
• Working within assembly to ensure economic manufacturing to the correct quality standard.
• Responsible for your own quality of work, self-inspection and completion of paperwork and applicable checklists are required.
• Assist Operations Manager with problems that occur within the assembly department. Work with other departments to ensure that issues are resolve and documented in line with current procedures in a timely manner.
• Assist in preparing/updating assembly documentation, programs, and tooling.

• If required, be available to attend customer’s site to carry out service work on behalf of the company.

• Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
• Ensure that health, safety and environmental guidelines are followed.
• Provide on-going support and training to peers and apprentices within assembly as and where required.
• Be available for further training if required.
• If required, assist in the test area which include Hydro, performance, noise and vibration testing. Included will be setting up and stripping product off test, efficiently, in line with work instructions.

Education, Skills And Experience

• Time served Mechanical Fitter with up to 3 years relevant experience preferably in heavy manufacturing.
• Have an understanding and experience of lean manufacturing techniques.
• Team Player with high level of energy and commitment required for participating in and implementing change.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbally.
