  • Read engineering drawings.
  • Drilling, assembly, and fitting of fixtures.
  • Perform light fabrication and mig welding.

Assembly Fitter
Manchester
27,000 - 36,000p/a depending on experience

This role is working for a well-established company that specializes in commercial HGV body building. This role is working for a well-known, reputable company within the automotive sector. They operate in a clean modern working environment and have recently received significant investment due to a recent takeover by a large Automotive Group.

The company offer an excellent benefit scheme and are renown for putting their staff at the forefront of everything they do.

Duties of the Assembly Fitter role-

  • Read engineering drawings
  • Drilling. Assembly and Fitting of fixtures and fitting to Vehicle interior and exterior
  • Light fabrication, measuring, cutting griding
  • Mig welding desired - not essential


The Assembly Fitter candidate-

  • Previous experience working in vehicle body building, coachbuilding, refurbishing rolling stock et care
  • Can work comfortably with hand and power tools
  • Can read technical drawings
