We are currently seeking an Assembler to join the team at our Redditch manufacturing site. The main purpose of this role is to carry out assembly, test, and inspection in accordance with Company procedures and requirements. This exciting role involves working in a clean, air-conditioned environment manufacturing miniature cooling devices for the Defence and Space market.

This role comes with a fantastic benefits package including contributory share purchase scheme, contributory pension, contributory life cover, ill health cover, optional private medical insurance, and overtime paid at a premium rate (1.5x at all times after 37 hours worked and 2x on a Sunday).

Our normal working hours (total 37 hours per week) are:
Mon to Thu 8 till 17.00 (with a paid morning break and 45-minute lunch break)
Fri 8 till 12.00 (with a paid morning break)

Assembler Responsibilities:
  1. To perform all tasks in accordance with safe methods of work and complying with all appropriate HSE&F guidelines and legislation.
  2. To assemble, test, and/or inspect components or products in accordance with drawings or other specification requirements.
  3. To accurately complete all relevant documentation in a timely manner.
  4. To work effectively as an individual or as a team member to achieve the required quality, delivery, and cost performance necessary to enable the business to satisfy customer orders.
  5. Demonstrate a professional approach to all situations and be able to represent the business appropriately.
Qualifications:
  1. To demonstrate a high level of manual dexterity.
  2. If your hobbies include skills like knitting, crocheting, or small craftwork – we’d like to hear from you!
  3. The ability to undertake tasks using magnifying equipment as necessary.
  4. To demonstrate relevant numeracy and literacy ability.
  5. To be able to communicate effectively.
  6. Previous experience of this type of work may not be necessary as full training in specific tasks will be provided to an appropriate level.
  7. Demonstrate a positive attitude & willingness to achieve.
