Third Shift - Manchester (United States of America)

Work Shift Time:

10:45 PM - 6:45 AM

Job Objective:

Act as a skilled tooling assembly professional building and maintaining tools used in plastic extrusion manufacturing processes.

Note: Training on 1st shift required for at least 6 months.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Complete training and demonstrate proficiency in tooling department procedures.
  2. Comply with ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, and BRC/IOP standards.
  3. Lead 5S activities to improve organization, productivity, safety, and employee satisfaction.
  4. Ensure safety in all tooling activities and address concerns immediately.
  5. Maintain familiarity with metals, plastics, cleaning agents, and lubricants.
  6. Complete scheduled tool builds, die, and roll preparations accurately and defect-free.
  7. Troubleshoot technical and quality issues related to tooling, dies, or rolls.
  8. Work within a team to implement SMED principles during line changeovers.
  9. Verify daily adherence to departmental procedures and company policies.
  10. Ensure compliance with Environmental Management Systems.
  11. Complete preventative maintenance tasks promptly.
  12. Pursue continuous improvement in tooling methods and machinery.
  13. Handle chemicals and waste within the facility responsibly.
  14. Maintain cleanliness and order in chemical and waste storage areas.
  15. Package, label, and prepare wastes for storage and transportation as needed.
  16. Inspect facility and equipment regularly, report incidents, and assist in emergency responses.
  17. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Desired Job Qualifications:
  • Must be onsite in Manchester full-time.
  • Technical certification or 4 years of experience in metalworking, plumbing, and electrical/mechanical drawings.
  • Willingness to cross-train in other functions.
  • Excellent attendance required.
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends and extended shifts.
Job Qualifications:
  • Good eyesight, dexterity, and attention to detail.
  • At least 2 years of mechanical assembly experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to be trained in Environmental Management Systems.
  • Certification in Hazardous Communications, Lockout/Tagout, and Forklift/Hand Jack within 30 days.
