As an Assembler/Tester, you'll be part of a team assembling high-quality, small electronics for aircraft. You will use various hand tools related to electronics assembly including crimpers, soldering irons, and wire strippers.

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Education or GED equivalency.
- 1 year manufacturing experience.
- Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
- Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, brazing equipment, etc.) and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.).
- Ability and willingness to operate high temperature ovens and furnaces.
- Ability and willingness to pass Visual Acuity Exam as necessary.
- Ability and willingness to obtain Solder, Braze, and Electro-Static discharge certification as required.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assemble parts according to process sheet/print instructions.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, magnetic testing as required (i.e., dielectric, megger, hipot, etc.).
- Perform in-process hi-pot testing and basic setup of fixtures.
- Perform vapor blasting as required; perform inventory counts and verification.
- Assist with proto-type or first-time builds with guidance from higher-level employees.
- Assist Engineering and/or Team in development and/or improvement of layout procedures and process sheets.
- Review expiration date of materials to ensure all are current.
- Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
- Possess inspection stamp as required.
- Cross-train other employees as needed based on knowledge and experience.
- Complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
- Perform basic Oracle transactions as required.
- Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
- Keep all shift operators informed on special problems involving operation or setup.
- Communicate with team to ensure awareness of new processes and issues; may interact with internal cross-functional teams.
- May act as primary contact for auditors.
- May require FAA certification.
- Perform troubleshooting responsibilities.
- Support team initiatives.
- Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.
- Understand and abide by GE Leadership behaviors.
- Other duties as required.
Desired Qualifications:
- 1-3 years manufacturing experience.
- Assembly, solder experience, and/or electronics manufacturing experience.
- Experience in a self-directed teaming environment.
- Familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing.
- Humility, transparency, focus, leadership ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze data using Microsoft applications.
Physical Demands:
- Continuous use of hands and fingers.
- Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, squatting, climbing, and balancing.
- Ability to sit continuously; lift to 20 lbs.; push/pull up to 22 lbs.
